Downloaded Music / My Songs

I'm happy to say that live versions of several of my original songs have been downloaded to my YouTube channel.

You can find all of them here-- http://www.youtube.com/what0about0bob

They are--

1 "Squirrel's World" (a catchy bluegrass tune about the little animals in my yard);

2 "Cat's Wail" (a bluesy guitar instrumental) ;

3 "Set Me Free" (a bluesy prayer to God) ;  &

4 "Snooze" (a sarcastic, soulful look at sleep).

You can find all of them here-- http://www.youtube.com/what0about0bob

These were all recorded in August "live" at The Inn, a Christian night spot in Salisbury, NC.

I'd like to personally thank Melinda Watkins for recording these songs and making them available for downloading to YouTube.

Hope -you- enjoy them !!

The Beatles

My Favorite Band:  THE BEATLES
Read "My Thoughts About The Beatles" (below)

     I really hope to have a special page devoted just to this great band.  Some of you like the Beatles.  Others of you can do without them.  I grew up "in love" with them

My Thoughts About The Beatles

   I remember my first memories of The Beatles.. my dad buying me their first albums at Woolworth's for $2.49.. banging sticks on the bedposts while listening to their songs..  watching them on The Ed Sullivan Show while my dad filmed it with an 8mm movie camera {no SmartPhone or digital cameras in that day}.. my mom helped me make Beatles puppets for my third grade class project, complete with outfitted suits and drum kit with the Beatles logo.. if I had been a teenager when the Beatles hit America, I would have probably been one of the fans at Shea Stadium.. I was that big of a Beatles fan.. but at my age, I settled for my own bedroom.

  Most fans loved songs like "She Loves You" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand", and while I did like those songs, the Beatles songs that I really loved ended up being their single "B" sides, or even throwaway album songs.  Some of my favorites were "Devil in Her Heart";  "You Can't Do That" ; "And I Love Her";  and "Here, There and Everywhere."

More later on The Beatles.. !

I recorded this on my Phone. I know it's not a GREAT recording.
I long to record this song, and many more, in a real studio.
But I've not been able to do this so far.  Maybe someday soon!
For now- you'll have to just listen to this make-shift version.
